MARGARET KOBYLANSKI
(SKAKUM)
Sadly, on August 3, 2022, Margaret Kobylanski, our aunt, great-aunt and great-great-aunt, passed away peacefully with family at her side.
She was predeceased by her husband Mike and her eight brothers and sisters. Auntie was 103 years old, just a little short of her goal to reach 107! She will be greatly missed.
Thank you to all the staff on Station 2 at Tuxedo Villa for their care and consideration for Auntie these past 5 years.
A gathering to celebrate her life will be held at a later date.

I am the daughter of Joan Webb (nee Gafka), who was Aunt Margaret’s niece. I have very fond memories of aunt Margaret, when my mom and I went to visit her in her home in Winnipeg, She also visited us in Vernon, BC in the 1980s and swam in our outdoor pool! I always remember Auntie Margaret as a kind lady with a great sense of humour! Sending my condolences and prayers to the family ❤️ - Posted by: Suzanne Gagnon (Great niece) on: Dec 09, 2022

To the nieces and nephews of Margaret, your aunt was one of a kind! My husband and I enjoyed many conversations and laughs with your aunt. We appreciated her directness and never-give-up attitude. We were in awe of how spotless she kept her house and her perfect gardens. One neighbour has a few transplanted strawberry bushes from her garden - we share a few berries and often reflect on the fierce woman that your aunt was. One of my favourite stores your Aunt Margaret shared was how she "walked" the outline of the house, room-by-room on the empty lot (and mostly empty street at that time!), that later was the house her husband built and became her home. My husband and I lost touch once she moved but frequently would wonder how she was doing. She will be fondly remembered. Condolences to all family, friends, and those whose heart Margaret touched 💖 - Posted by: Krista Tellier (Neighbour) on: Aug 15, 2022
