In Loving Memory of Darla Trelford
Daughter of the late Keith and Bootie Forster of Virden, MB. and a Very Special sister, aunt and grandma. Darla was born August 22, 1956 and sadly passed away August 9, 2021.
Darla was a caring, selfless, compassionate soul with a heart of gold. Even though she suffered most of her life from chronic Crohn's disease she maintained her unique wit and sense of humor! She attended Virden schools up to grade 10 and graduated grade 12 in Rivers, MB. After completing her nursing in Winnipeg, she left for Medicine Hat and then to Prince Rupert working at various jobs. After that she excepted nursing positions in Jasper, Fort Simpson, Winnipeg, and Brandon. Darla was a very devoted and loving nurse for 37 years. She always showed empathy to each patient, making a true effort to always put herself in her patient's shoes. She enjoyed flower gardening, especially Hosta plants and grooming trees and shrubs. She loved chicken, cheese, and chocolate! Anyone that visited was always greeted with a big bowl of chocolate on her coffee table! Darla had two special grandsons, Brendan and Kai, whom she loved and adored very much. They were her pride and joy! While in Brandon Darla had two very special friends whom she always referred to as her sisters. She loved and appreciated you both so much Sharon and Arlene Saito. Also, her wonderful neighbours Alice and Nestor Zemliak who were there for her the last few years of her life. She always referred to you as best neighbours ever!
Rest in Peace Dar you will be forever in our hearts.
We really miss you, Dar
and wish that you were here
to hug us with your loving arms
and lend a kindly ear
Life goes on as always
but things seem out of place
now that we can't call on you
or see your smiling face
Although its really painful
to think that you are gone
We know you're in a better place
when all is said and done
We never will forget you
and we'll never be apart
in all the special memories
we keep inside our heart!
Always loved, never forgotten and forever missed by your loving Family and Friends
