LLOYD DESMOND HORIE SMITH
March 18, 1933 – August 15, 2022
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved husband, dad, grandpa, and great-grandpa. Lloyd led a wonderful life full of love and compassion for his family, he was always supportive in every way.
Lloyd is survived by his wife Christina (nee Kerr), daughters, Cathy Willms (Dave) and Linda Dawson, sons, Geoffrey (Tannis) and Alexander (Joanna), grandchildren, Brian Willms (Salma), Amanda Willms, Meagan Dawson (Logan Gaudet), Paige Dawson, Stephan Smith, Julia Smith and Justin Smith and great- grandchild Ella Willms.
The family extends gracious thanks to the wonderful staff at the St. Boniface Hospital Palliative Care ward, the Health Sciences Centre CancerCare and to Reverend Patrick Woodbeck of the Windsor Park United Church for all their wonderful care and support.
A private service will be held for his interment. Donations in Lloyd's memorium to the Canadian Cancer Society - Manitoba are appreciated.

Very sorry to hear of Lloyd's passing. My condolences to Chris and family. Lloyd was an accomplished model railroader who had a wonderful model train layout that took up most of his basement. Lloyd was always eager to lend a hand whenever the train club needed help and he was always regularly eager to have visitors over to see his trains. Ive known Lloyd since I joined WinNtrak model railway club in the early 90's. I will always remember and cherish the stories and companionship i had with him during train shows and club activities. Lloyd always made a point of helping out when he could. His easy going demeanor was addictive and made long mall hours plesant. Dear Chris and family, Kathy and I are very sorry to hear that Lloyd passed away; and grateful that I could talk to Lloyd earlier this year. I will never forget the love you and Lloyd showed Richard when his mum and I visited you to show off Richard a few months after he left St B paediatric intensive care.
