On Sunday, August 21, 2022, Larry Kruck passed away at the age of 75 years.
Larry was predeceased by his beloved wife Cheryl (2021), his brother Lyall (2013), his parents, Frank (1996) and Catherine (2007) Kruck and his sister-in-law Janet Kruck (2004).
Larry is survived by his brothers, Randy, Arnie (Carol), Glen (Verena), his sister Charlotte Innes, nephews, James and Adam and nieces, Carrie, Christa, Heidi and Cassie. He is also survived by his stepson Tony and his three children as well as special family friend Kim McLarty.
Larry was born and raised on a farm outside Alonsa, Manitoba. In 1966 he moved with his family to Portage la Prairie. Larry worked a number of years in Portage before moving to Winnipeg.
Larry married Cheryl Smith in August 1997. They enjoyed life at their home in Grant Park with their cat Lucky. Larry worked at the nearby Grant Park Shopping Centre in the Maintenance Department. After retirement Larry and Cheryl were frequent visitors at the Grant Park A&W and Tim Horton's where they met and retained many friends. Being within walking distance of the mall was an added bonus as Parkinson's prevented Larry from driving in recent years.
A private family interment will take place at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home.

Larry was a Great Big Brother. We grew up very poor and Larry got a job and he bought me a top of the line set of ice skates when I was about 12 years of age. Later on when I was 16, I had applied and was accepted into a training program to become a licensed auto mechanic but we lived in Portage and the college was in Winnipeg so I had no way to attend as I had no money to rent a place in Winnipeg. Larry came to my rescue and without me even asking, he lent me his brand new Datsun 1200 so I could drive to Winnipeg each day for my training. As a new driver, I was not that good and I had 5 accidents-- two of which were my fault but he stuck with me and never complained and I completed my training course THANKS to my Big Brother LARRY. - Posted by: Glen Kruck (Younger brother) on: Aug 26, 2022
