GARY HUGH JOHN MACDONALD
Gary Hugh John Macdonald passed away on August 20, 2022, after finally succumbing to his injuries from an accident in 2019.
Gary was a proud member of the Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service, Niverville Fire and Emergency Services, and the Office of the Fire Commissioner.
Gary was predeceased by his parents Red and Lillian; his sister Gail, and his brother Dave. He is survived by his wife Sandi; his three children Todd, Tracey and Brent; his nephew Randy, Ashley and Silas; great-nephew Marshall and great-niece Carly; granddaughters Ashley and Natasha; great-granddaughter Noa, and daughter-in-law Robbie.
He will also be greatly missed by his extended family; Fred and Ali, Tim, Alana and Bryson, Roger and Heather.
A special thank you to his home care girls Gee, Lady, Belinda, and Josephine. You were all so important in our lives and made it possible for Gary to be at home so much longer.
A very special thank you to Kaitlin, who has been Gary's Physiotherapist for the past three years. She was Gary's encouragement; the strong one, when he needed a talking-to. We are so grateful for your dedication.
The service will be held Thursday, September 1, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. at the North Kildonan Mennonite Brethren Church, 1315 Gateway Road, Winnipeg. Reception will follow. The service will be web streamed details will be made available on Gary's memorial page at www.neilbardalinc.com.

Gary was a coworker and friend of mine while Chief of the Fire Paramedic Service. His dedication to his career was an inspiration to many and the world is at a loss for his passing, I wish all condolences to his family.
