GORDEN ANDRUS
July 2, 1932 August 22, 2022
Gorden was the beloved husband of Adele Kory with whom they shared a life filled with curiousity, adventure and travel.
He was predeceased by his parents, Noah and Eva Andrus, his sister, Helen and his son, Scott from a previous marriage.
Gorden graduated from Washington University and subsequently crossed the line into Canada where he met Adele in 1976 while teaching in Thompson. Their adventures began first with CUSO teaching in Nigeria and Zimbabwe and then for several years in Canada in North West Territories and in Nunavut at Coral Harbour and Pond Inlet. Gorden's greatest interests were history and politics and his passions were music and the theatre.
Gorden will be cremated and burial will take place later at a private ceremony.
If you wish, donations may be made in Gorden's memory to the Winnipeg Symphony Orchestra or to the charity of your choosing.
