ALICE CHRISTINE BUCKO
September 3, 1928 - August 28, 2022
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Alice Christine Bucko (nee Graham), on Sunday, August 28, 2022, at the age of 93. She was predeceased by her husband Harry, parents, Pauline and William Graham, brother William Graham and son-in-law Allan Jurczak.
Alice will be greatly missed by her children, Stanley Bucko (Susan), Wendy Jurczak and by her grandchildren, Tara Bartecki (Jon), Jamie Jurczak (Garth), Steven Bucko (Justine), Shauna Jurczak (Nathan), as well as her great-grandchildren, Nathan Bartecki, Avery Bartecki, Hayden Bartecki, Charles Hilderman and Mia Bucko all of whom lovingly referred to Alice as Grandma, Great-Grandma and Tootsie.
She worked for many years at Valley Flowers and Vita Health and was a member of the Robertson Memorial United Church where she was involved in many activities as well as being a member of the board. While living at Carriage House North she would say grace before every weekly dinner. She enjoyed swimming, where she received many medals, as well as roller skating and walking.
Respecting Alice's wishes, cremation has taken place and a private family interment will be held.
The family would like to thank the staff at the Maples Personal Care Home for all their care and kindness over the past two and a half years.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Arthritis Society.
Rest in peace, you will be missed by everyone.

Wendy and Stanley, heartfelt condolences to you and your families. I remember fondly of Alice as a soft spoken, kind and always smiling lady. We raised our families on Pritchard Avenue and in later years we both moved to the Carriage House where we remained friends. Condolences to the family on the passing of your mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Many great times were had on Pritchard Avenue with your mom, the next door neighbours and my parents.
