1926 - 2022

With great sadness we announce the passing of Marion Grace Colclough on September 1, 2022 at the age of 95. Marion's wish was granted as she passed away peacefully at home with her daughter at her side.
Marion was predeceased by her husband Stanley, her sister Eileen; her sisters-in-law, May Boyd and Violet Colclough; her brothers-in-law, Robert Boyd and John Colclough; and her niece Brenda Phillips.
As a young woman Marion's first job was working in the office at the T. Eaton Company where she met her husband Stanley. They were married in 1946 and two years later Marion was excited to be a Mother to daughter Gail. Marion and Stan shared many wonderful years together working in their yard, hosting family get togethers and travelling the globe.
Later in life, Marion decided to take on a new challenge, so she enrolled in the Real Estate course and spent 10 years in her new-found profession with Royal Lepage. She retired from Real Estate once they opened V.I.P. Travel and her and Stan would help Gail escort tours to Europe, Caribbean and Hawaii. When not escorting tours, they enjoyed spending the winters in Florida. During the summer months Marion spend hours tending to her garden on the river that she loved so much.
Marion will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Winnipeg Humane Society.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Monday, September 19 at 3:00 p.m. in the Garden at The Gates on Roblin, 6945 Roblin Boulevard.

  • Dear Gail: I am so sorry to read of your mother’s passing. I have great memories of your Mom&Dad when Stan worked at Princess Auto. I do not know where you are living these days so cannot send a card. I would have attended Marion’s service but will be in Nova Scotia on that day. Know that I am thinking of you and praying for you during these difficult days. Louise Beaudry joins me in sending our love.
