HENRY JOHN DONKERSGOED
1953 - 2022
In loving remembrance of Henry John Donkersgoed, who passed into eternal peace and love on the 29th of the month of August, 2022.
He was cherished by his wife Adriana; as well as his surviving brothers, Philip and Klaas. He is loved deeply by his three children, Kate, Ryan and Kyla; their partners, Yvan, Sonja and Carlos; as well as his adoring grandchildren, Celeste, Sarah, Idalia, Wallace, Uli and Aksel.
Henry was a man of great character; loved by many and brought joy and laughter to those he was acquainted with. His passion throughout life was his family and his joy was the ability to use his hands to form the works of his labour. He was a millwork carpenter by trade and an artist in many mediums. The legacy of his work and creativity surrounds many in their homes and lives. His journey on this earth brought him to seek, truth, love and God. He found the message of Christ, an important part of his purpose, and it brought him peace. He will be missed but celebrated as a man to be honoured and be inspired by. As a family we understand the immense privilege it was to have shared in Henry's life.
Join us for a Celebration of Life at 2:00 p.m., on Friday, September 9, at the Howden Community Center, 1078 Red River Dr.

Dear Adriana, Just want to let you and your family know that you have been in my thoughts since Hennie called me with the news of Henry’s untimely passing. Please accept my warmest and heartfelt condolences. Life is not always as we had planned or hoped, but we know where our faith and trust in the future lies. “Hang onto The Rock.” May God hold you and your family in the palm of His hand. Sympathy of the loss of your husband Henry and to the family of the loss of your father. We met Henry the first time when he built cupboards for us after the Flood. He did very great work for us. He was always happy and friendly when he came over. The last time we saw he was cutting the grass. He had a big smile on his face when we waved at him. Henry will be missed. He was a great guy. We will always be thinking of him in our heart and our thoughts. Jules & Dolores Tellier - Posted by: Jules & Dolores Tellier (Neighbor) on: Sep 03, 2022
