ELIZABETH (BETTY) FALK
Elizabeth (Betty) Falk (nee Dueck) passed away suddenly on September 7, 2022, at the age of 96.
She leaves her daughter Shirley (Duncan), her son John (Susan) and her daughter Arlene (Steve). Also mourning her loss are her grandchildren and great- grandchildren, Jeremy, James, Bel, Austin, Joshua, Pam, Carol (Jeff), Ethan, Violet, Melissa, Tyler (Catherina), Liam, Owen, Spencer (Breanna) and Sonny.
Mom was predeceased by her husband of 66 years, Jake in 2012. Mom had many other relatives and friends who will be waiting to greet her with open arms. Mom was born in Altona, growing up on a farm but moving to Winnipeg when she married Jake in 1946. Mom worked at Woolworths, Economy Hardware and RayOVac, all while being a sports fan. She enjoyed many years of retirement and travel with Dad.
Her whole family will always fondly remember her incredible cooking skills, fun Christmases filled with Morden's treats, her excellent crib skills and her consistently positive outlook on life. You could always catch Betty with a smile, especially when she was around her grandkids and great-grandkids. She loved watching them grow over the years. Nothing gave her greater joy in life and she was always our biggest cheerleader in any of her family's life pursuits.
The last eight years at Kiwanis allowed her a sense of freedom where she loved playing cards and received awards for all her miles of walking. Mom remained sharp until the very end and always enjoyed giving and receiving hugs for all her family.
Please join us for a celebration of Mom's life at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Avenue, on Monday, September 19 at 10:00 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, please feel free to send to a charity of your choice.

Whenever I had the chance to reconnect with Aunt Betty I looked so forward to it as it brought me such joy to receive her heartwarming hugs, a kiss, and to hear the words “I love you” flow so easily and early in our conversations. Those were cherished meetings, albeit far-too-few. Love you too and always Aunt Betty! - Posted by: Gerry Born (Nephew) on: Sep 10, 2022
