January 31, 1933 - August 27, 2022

It is with deep sorrow that Douglas' family announces his passing, after three years of declining health and advanced dementia.
Dad was predeceased by his beloved wife of 50 years, Marlene, in 2003, as well as his father, Gordon Slemmon, mother Irene Slemmons, sister Shirley Passey, and other family and friends.
Left to cherish his memory are daughter Carol Sterzer, granddaughter Pamela Sterzer, grandson Brian (Chauna) Sterzer; great-grandsons, Hudson and Colton Sterzer; sisters, Jean Lund and Laura Kostenko; numerous nieces and nephews, Linda Provost (whom Dad thought of as a daughter), dear friend Diane Devenney and her son Bruce (whom dad thought of as a son) both of Calgary, and his best friend from childhood Martin (Carmen) Devenney of California.
Respecting Dad's wishes, cremation and interment has taken place.

Rest in heavenly peace, Dad
You and Mom are now together again.
Happy trails to you, until we meet again.
