MICHAEL THEODORUS HARZING
1990 - 2022
Tragically, Michael passed away on September 6, 2022 at the age of 31.
Mike's infectious smile and big heart will be missed by all that had the pleasure to know him. Mike enjoyed the outdoors and when you didn't find him peddling around his yard, he was either fishing at the lake or out quadding. His early passion for cars and all things automotive led him to his career as a Heavy-Duty Mechanic even well before finishing High School.
Michael will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his parents, Antonius (Ton) and Sara (Yoke) Harzing; his partner Kennedy Maidment; brothers, Nicholas (daughter Hannah), Matthew and Richard Harzing; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins, as well as all the people who were able to call Mike a friend.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, September 17, 2022 at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Avenue with a viewing for guests starting at 1:30 p.m. A Celebration of Life to follow starting at 5:00 p.m. at 118 Alboro St., Headingley, bring a lawn chair and your welcomed stories of Mike.
The family would like to extend a special Thank You to Michael McArthur and Charity Shewchuck for their quick response and actions during the time of the accident, and to the Vermilion Bay First Responders.
