CROSBY WALCOTT DAVEY
Crosby Walcott Davey was born in Manchester, Jamaica, child of Louise and Vernal Davey. Crosby attended school in Nazareth, Jamaica. After leaving school he went to Mandeville where he studied Auto Mechanic and Auto Repair. With the request of his employer in Jamaica, he accompanied his employer to work in England at British Leland Motor where he continued his studies in T.V. and radio repair. He spent 12 years in England and at that time he was drafted into the Army. After resigning from British Leland, he was employed at Wednesbury Auto Body and Mechanics. He immigrated to Canada where he partnered with Wimpy Auto Body. Soon after he ventured on his own, he became owner and operator of Davey Auto Body for 44 years. His place of business was a sanctuary for some, a rescue for most and a place to learn for others. Crosby was a hard-working individual. He loved his work, loved people, loved life and most of all his family dearly. Our father passed away peacefully, with his wife by his side while holding his hand.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife Louise Davey, his children, Ann, Paul (Lisa), and Phyllis (Joseph), grandchildren, Jazmin, John, Angela, and Brendan.
Rest in Peace brother man!!
A celebration of Crosby's life will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, September 19, 2022 at Glen Lawn Funeral Home, 455 Lagimodiere Blvd. Burial will follow at Glen Lawn Cemetery.
