GREGG JOHN BRUNSKILL
Late of Alligator Creek, Queensland (formerly Tourond, MB and S. Dakota). Passed away peacefully on Wednesday 7 September, 2022 surrounded by his loving family.
For 52 years, Wizard was the beloved husband of Sheila (nee Dennett). Devoted Father of Ian and Jesse, Father-in-Law of Sarah, Grandfather of Georgia, Daniel and Scarlett. Big brother of Obie, Gerald and John. Much loved Uncle Wiz of many nieces and nephews in Canada and the USA.
Always a cowboy at heart, from the Great Plains of South Dakota, Gregg was an accomplished musician and respected scientist, rejoicing in adventures from the high Arctic to the tropics. His reward for a life well-lived was time in the warmth of Alligator Creek with his beloved Sheila, caring for Charles, Caspar, the goats and his creek valley orchard.
He will be dearly missed.
In keeping with the wishes of the family, a private cremation was held.

I grew up in South Dakota and have many fond memories of making the trip to Murdo where my grandparents, my Aunt Virginia, my Uncle Gregg and my four cousins, including Gregg John, lived. I loved it on the farm; there were always so many adventures. Gregg John and I both attended Augustana University and studied Biology. Gregg J went on to get his Ph.D and I eventually went on to get my M.D. We loved sparring back and forth about climate change, the Great Barrier Reef, lake sediments, ecology, etc and he had a wealth of information about England/Brunskill genealogy. We all loved his Christmas letters with so many interesting stories about his orchard, flowers that were blooming, his animals, monsoons, Sheila, his two boys and the grandchildren. He was an incredibly talented person...musically, intellectually...and he lived his life in a fashion most of us only dream of. My sincerest condolences to Sheila and his family. I will miss him. - Posted by: Janet England (cousin) on: Oct 17, 2022
