DONALD JOSEPH HOURIE
November 16, 1961 - September 11, 2022

A Golden Heart Stopped Beating

Suddenly, at his home in Patricia Beach, Don Hourie, age 60, passed away.
Don leaves behind the pride of his life, his children, Melissa, Adam, Tanner (Amy), Destiny (Cody) and Colton (Marlee); the joy of his life, his grandchildren, Steven, Tryce, Devin, Duke, Max, Alyssa, Aria and Daxx; sisters, Jacqueline, Yvonne, Sheila, Sylvia and brother Tom, numerous nieces, nephews, non blood family and friends. Don was predeceased by his infant son Daniel; parents, Helen and Andrew; sister Verna; brothers, Bruce, Brian and Gord.
Don will be remembered for his work as a top cement finisher, a fixer of almost anything, his love of family, horses, and the land. His grandchildren will remember him as "Loud, and funny" Papa Don.
The family would like to thank Diane, and the staff at Selkirk Mental Health Centre, as well as all those who offered support to Don over the years.
A Celebration of Life will be held this Saturday, September 24, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. in the Gilbart Funeral Chapel, Selkirk, Manitoba.
In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made in Don's name to the Children's Heart Centre in Winnipeg.
Private interment at a later date.
