WAYNE LINTON CARTER
Wayne passed away peacefully in Victoria, B.C., surrounded by his loved ones after a courageous battle with cancer on September 24, 2022.
He will be sadly missed by his family. He is survived by his loving wife, Marian, son David, daughter Catherine and grandson, Liam. He leaves his sisters Audy, and husband, Bruce Allan and their family and Carole Sobie and her family.
His friends in Victoria and Winnipeg remember him with love. He was a kind and gracious man. We shared many good times with him and Marian for over sixty years.
If friends wish, a donation to a charity of their choice will be appreciated by his family or a donation to the Canadian Blood Service in Wayne's memory.

Wayne was an amazing man, as he was an amazing son, brother, husband, and father. He met the love of his life while attending Daniel McIntyre Collegiate (Marian Dunning)and married her soon after graduating. They began married life in Winnipeg and later moved to Victoria, B.C. where he created a legacy of historic locations over the years. Their frequent trips back to Wpg meant that he and Marian had fun and memorable times with family and friends. His smile lit up the room he was in, and his love and support of Marian, Catherine and David created a family that continued to remain connected to his final day. Wayne is missed. I am grateful to have known him and enjoyed his company and thoughtfulness as he provided support to me during troubled times. - Posted by: Lila Larson (Childhood friend to current) on: Nov 02, 2022

Wayne was the embodiment of a "true gentleman", a kind, gentle and positive soul, a good moral man, caring big brother to his sisters and a family man. This wonderful man will be missed. As Wayne would say "It's time to go to bed and turn out the lights". - Posted by: Marlies Caswell (Long-time family friend of his sister Audrey) on: Oct 12, 2022

Wayne and Marian went to high school in Winnipeg with me and after they moved to Victoria, my husband and I always visited them when we vacationed in Victoria each year. I always enjoyed conversations with Wayne when I called Marian. He was a wonderful family man and a great friend. He will be missed by all who knew him and I send my sincere condolences to Marian and family. - Posted by: Pam Ruby (Friend) on: Oct 02, 2022
