PAUL LOUIS JOSEPH VANDALE
December 30, 1953 - September 27, 2022

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father, pepere, brother, uncle and friend, Paul Vandale. After a long and courageous struggle with many health issues Paul passed away peacefully in his sleep with his wife Leona by his side at the age of 68.
Paul was predeceased by his parents, Adelard and Germaine Vandale; and sister Louise. Paul was born in Winnipeg and had many jobs but he finally got his dream job in January 1989 working as a customs officer for CBSA, which he retired from after 25 years of service. This is where he met his best friend, Tracy. Thank you to Tracy, Andy, and their kids for being in his life.
Paul leaves behind his wife Leona of 45 years; sons, Jason (Jessica), Ryan (Melanie); granddaughter Raeanne; sisters, Gisele (Sophie), Lucette (Serge); brother Luc (Lisette) and numerous nieces, nephews and a large extended family.
Paul loved food and would not turn down a meal. He also loved travelling and his numerous Harley Davidson rides, umpiring baseball games, scuba diving and fishing were a few of the many hobbies he enjoyed. He was also a season ticket holder for the Winnipeg Blue Bombers and loved going to games. Paul was very fun loving and enjoyed playing pranks on his family and friends.
As per his wishes, cremation has taken place and in lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or CancerCare Manitoba.
There will be a come and go celebration of his life on Saturday, October 15, 2022 at the Belgian Club, 407 Provencher Blvd. from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.

  • Paul and I had become the best of buds in 2006. We were inseparable and as our families became used to seeing us work, run and hang out all of the time; we decided to drag them into the mix :) over cards at my mom’s, football games, golf and sharing many of life’s milestones with one another Uncle “Po” and Aunty Leona became a wonderful part of our family. Life without Paul is never going to be the same. My family lost so much with his passing but I am thankful for all that we were lucky enough to share. Miss you bud. - Posted by: Tracy (Friend ) on: Oct 01, 2022
