Condolences & Memories (17 entries)

  • Deeply missed for her big heart and compassionate intelligence. We sometimes talked about meeting up again at the end of our careers and thinking of what that might be like. Was able to continue our friendship after I retired with our lunch group gang that sadly came to an end missing her and our friend Gilles who also passed on this year. My respectful condolences to her husband Ron and family. I pray that there is comfort for you all today and hope for a life after death. - Posted by: Greg Dyck (Friend & former Colleague) on: Dec 12, 2022

  • I was shocked and saddened to hear about Christine's passing. I have known Christine for over 20 years from Red River College. She was funny, dedicated, and smart. I remember many times we had working together on the timetabling system and later on I would have the enjoyment of curling with her on our team in the RRC curling league. She will be missed. My deepest sympathies to Ron and the family. - Posted by: Don Wiebe (Former RRC Colleague and Curler) on: Oct 22, 2022

  • My sincere condolences to Ron and all of Christine's family. How immensely sad to lose this bright and cheerful light from our world. Christine was one of my very favourite colleagues at RRC. She taught me everything I know about scheduling classrooms and labs; without her guidance, my own colleagues would have been higgedly piggedly across campus. But thanks to Christine everyone was orderly, always. Over our years of working together, we became friends and I loved our conversations in her office and then over MS Teams during Covid. We solved all of RRC's problems, laughing and deepening our friendship along the way. We shared stories of our beloved cats, too. I am so very very sorry that cancer took this warm, vibrant, splendid woman. My love to all who grieve her. - Posted by: Amanda Le Rougetel (Friend and RRC colleague) on: Oct 01, 2022
