NORMAN WOHLGEMUTH

Norman Wohlgemuth was born to John and Martha Wohlgemuth on Oct. 13, 1937 at Steinbach, MB. He passed away on Sept. 6, 2022 at age 84.
He attended Clearsprings School for nine years. Norman gave his heart to God at age 16 and was baptized into the Church of God in Christ, Mennonite. He married Darleen Penner on April 16, 1963. They moved to a farm near Bredenbury, SK in 1966. Norman was ordained to the ministry on March 17, 1972. He enjoyed many years of farming grain and livestock.
They moved off the farm in 2005 into Bredenbury. He maintained an ongoing interest in farming, taking pleasure in helping his boys.
Through the last years his steps grew slower, taking away the joy of living. After one week in the hospital, he went to his eternal rest, with Darleen and all his children around him.
He will be missed by his wife, Darleen and children; Heidi and Laurel Wiebe, Galen and Valerie, Carol and Donny Thiessen, John and Candace, Mark and Jana, Sylvia and Darrell Litwiller, Gary and Charlene; 27 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. Also his sisters, Olive Toews and Frances Goossen; brothers-in-law, Earl and Daphne Penner, Roy and Diane Penner, Lawrence and Bonny Penner; sisters-in-law, Libby Wohlgemuth, Verna Penner, Josephine Penner and Gary Martens, Mabel Penner. Funeral services were held on Sept 11. Burial was in the church cemetery.
