BRIAN JOHN MARSHALL
November 9, 1957 August 30, 2022
Brian passed away peacefully at home in White Rock, B.C. following a lengthy illness.
He was much loved and will be sadly missed by his son Nathan and daughter Hannah of Vancouver, sisters Janet Gyselman (Eric) of Niverville, Judith Perrin (John) of Winnipeg, Aunt Jean Lewis of Minnedosa, and many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was pre-deceased by his parents, Frank and Irene (nee Stewart) Marshall of Winnipeg.
In the early 1980's Brian moved to B.C. where he married and found success in the publishing industry.
Growing up in River Heights he graduated from Kelvin High School. He joined the Royal Canadian Sea Cadets at HMCS Chippawa where he played the bagpipes with the Crusaders and spent summers at HMCS Quadra. In 1973 and 1974 Brian marched in the Rose Bowl Parade with the Massed Pipes and Drums of Winnipeg.
A private pilot in his early twenties, he had a life-long interest in aviation. Brian loved the water - fishing, early morning swims at the cottage, Friday evenings with his Dad at the Pan Am pool and sailing his sloop on the Pacific.
According to his wishes, cremation has taken place with a private family interment to follow.
