Gordon passed on from this life September 29, peacefully and surrounded by the love of his family. He tried so hard to stay but was unable to.
Gordon leaves behind his son, Sam Tate and Sam's mother, Kate Tate. He also leaves his brothers, Doug, Dave and Victor and sisters, Norma, Betty and Linda, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He was especially proud of and close to his nephews, Kyle and Dustin. He was predeceased by his parents, Ida and Sam, and his brothers, Don and Leonard.
Gordon was a hard-working and gentle man who embodied living a good life. He will be greatly missed and forever loved.
A private wake was held to honour Gord's passing.

I worked with Gord for a number of years at HSC. He always had a kindness about him, always had a helping hand or a good story; he loved music and shared great tunes with me. He even shared stories with my husband Gary at the end of our workday. He was a great guy. We all missed Gord when he retired, and myself and many others in the Physio department were so sad to hear he’d passed.
