ARTHUR JOHN RICHARDSON

Surrounded by family, Arthur John Richardson passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 6, 2022.
Art is survived by his son Ed (Jennifer); daughters, Cindy, Karen and Diana; grandchildren, David, Jessica (Brandon) and Tiana Richardson, Marla (Jeff), Ryan and Bret (Kassandra) Fedeniuk, Denise (Jaymes) and Alix Thompson; great-granddaughters Shyanne and Camila. Art will also be deeply missed by the Marler family of Louisiana.
Art was predeceased by his wife of 60 years, Joan, his parents, brothers Denis and Barry and sisters Patricia andMarilyn, and son-in-law Darrell Marler of Louisiana.
Born on April 3, 1940, to Edward and Hazel (nee Hoban) Richardson, Art grew up in East Kildonan and spent much time on the Hoban family homestead near Beausejour. He married Joan in 1960. Art enjoyed tinkering with cars and loved drag racing at Keystone strip in the 1960s. Many winters were spent snowmobiling with the Snow Stompers club and summers camping with the family. Memories of their trips to Mexico, Hawaii, and the Bahamas always brought a smile to his face. After retirement, Art and Joan looked forward to spending summers at the Brokenhead RV park with all their friends.
The family wishes to thank the doctors, nurses and all the caregivers at the Riverview Health Center for their care and compassion during this difficult time.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 15 at 1:00 p.m. at Voyage Funeral home, 220 Hespeler Ave.
