Please accept the Timlick family’s sincere condolences to the Hunter family on the passing of Archie. Remember him well from visiting the Hunter Homestead in Greenridge in the mid 1960s. I however have also never forgotten a random cell phone call Archie and I had in 1997. Somehow in 1997 Archie and I experienced a cell phone call which neither one of us instigated. Both our phones rang independently at the same time which by some strange consequence randomly connect two individuals who knew each other and had last spoken to one another in mid 1960s. The call only lasted a short time before it again randomly dropped the call. The odds of this random call happening and connecting two people that knew each other from 30 years ago is impossible to even calculate. In this short call Archie did tell me he was maintaining the GreenRidge cemetery and that he was making sure my parents grave sites were well maintained. To me it seemed as if this random cell phone call was in itself a spiritual message from my parents that all was good in the afterlife for them. I do not look at the Free Press Obituaries very often so it was a shock today seeing Archie’s obituary and it seemed to me we were once again randomly connected. This time however I believe the message was from Archie saying he too had made a peaceful journey to the afterlife and that all was well. I trust in time he will give my best to my parents.
