DAVID BRIAN WINNING
After a brief illness, David Brian Winning passed away at Stonewall Hospital, on Friday, September 30, 2022, at the age of 83 years.
David will be missed and has now rejoined his wife Iris Mable Winning (deceased). David's two children, Cynthia and David K. Winning (Dawna) will also miss him; as well as his grandchildren, Rod (Caitlin), Karly, Alaura and Ethan, step-grandchildren, Spencer and Cooper. He will also be missed by his five great-grandchildren, Ayden, Sierra, Alexis, Ryder and Maya; sister Diane; brother Kim (Arlene), pre-deceased by his sister Heather and his brother in-law Jim. He will also be missed by his sisters and brothers in-law, Betty and Audrey (John); Dennis (Lorna) and Jerry (Midge); as well as many nieces and nephews whom he held close.
Home life and family were the important things in David's life. He remained an active snowmobiler and enjoyed his weekend quad rides in the summer's months. Family dinners, pool parties and farmyard gatherings surrounded by family and friends were part of his favourite activities. David spent years as a farmer and a businessman and had entered retirement thereafter enjoying years of travel with Iris. He continued, in this manner, after retirement and enjoyed his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life will be held in 2023 to acknowledge this unique person, his accomplishments and of course to enjoy his life stories.

My uncle Ben Russenholt was a good friend of David’s. We always got together on uncle Ben’s birthday and I would often see David at uncle Ben’s in Dacotah. We were sad to learn of his passing. David was a very good friend to Ben. He was a lovely man. I will keep my eyes out for a service date and uncle Ben and I will be there!
