NORMA G. ASBURY
(PANNELL)
It is with great love and sadness that the family announce the passing of Norma (Mom/Nanny) in her 90th year.
Mom is predeceased by the love of her life Dennis (2006), also by her parents and two brothers-in-law.
Left to cherish her memories are her three children, Neil (Val), Dave and Carol. She also leaves behind her seven cherished grandchildren, Theresa, Samantha, Austin, Matthew, Ryan (Shannon), Corey, Maddison and five great-grandchildren, all of whom she adored. She also leaves behind her two sisters, Joan and Virginia and many nieces and nephews.
Mom loved her trips to Gimli, Halifax and Cold Lake. She also love being around the grandchildren, they always brought a smile to her face.
We would like to thank Irene Barron and River East Personal Care Home for the kind support and care of mom. We would also extend our thanks to her sister Joan. Everything she has done for Mom and the support you gave us, we couldn't have gone through this without you.
In keeping with Mom's wishes, there will be no formal service and an interment for both Mom and Dad to be held at a later date at Glen Lawn Memorial Gardens.
Donations may be made to the Winnipeg Humane Society or a charity of one's choice.
Those we love don't go away
They walk beside us every day
Unseen-unheard but always near
Still loved, still missed
And forever dear

My Mom first and foremost was a lover of people, she cared for all people in her life. She volunteered for her whole life. She loved music and singing, she loved Neil Diamond, she loved Hymn Sing on CBC. She gave her money and time to all of her family equally. She gave many hours to Grey Steet United Church. She worked at the Winnipeg Public Library downtown and had many friends and Co workers there. Maddison and Corey miss her with our heart and soul If you want to reach us, I am on Facebook.
