DIANE RUTH WILDER
(SCHACHTER)

August 3, 1957-August 30, 2022

I know we are late, we could blame the holidays, stopping to take a shower and a hair wash, but the honest truth, this would mean it's over. This will be her forever memory when her great-great grandchildren do their family history projects. Word of mouth, pictures and journals could never stand the test of time like a brief internet search. Here is the Coles Notes on the amazing life of Diane Ruth Wilder.
Diane's smile, laugh and generous nature will be missed the most. Her laughter would float through the air, just so contagious that you wanted to pee (just like she would yell out while laughing.)
Kids pay attention.
Diane was the spunky wife and equal partner to, her husband of 41 years, David, the daughter of Sunny and Joe.
Fabulous sister to Joyce (Ronnie), Harley (Roxana), and Rheesa (Paul) and sister- in-law to Leslie,
Mother of all moms to Tovah (Mark) and Shira (Curtis).
Amazing hands on, on the floor, wouldn't miss a single minute baba to Aaron, Anthony, Tyson, Amira & Kylon.
Thou Mom lost her well fought war with cancer, she did it with a smile.
Diane's career was spent mostly in service to the local Jewish community as a Jewish civil servant.
She got into that work after working with her father in the Shmata Business, and then studying business at Red River.
It was while working with her father where she reconnected with David, whom she'd known from their time together in USY. This is also where her lifelong bond with David's cousin Laura would begin.
Diane's biggest goal in life was to be a mom – and later a Baba.
As a mom she was selfless, devoted, warm and loving.
As a baba she continued to thrive. Always hands on. Never missing an event.
As an aunt – special, more than an aunt, more like another mother
As a cousin – special, more than a cousin, more like a sibling
As a mother – the ultimate
And as baba – there was no equal
We lost a very special woman
