MONICA THERESA WEBSTER
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Monica Theresa Webster, on the morning of October 5, 2022, due to a series of illnesses.
Mum was born 1931 in Trinidad and Tobago and lived in Canada for over 60 years.
She was predeceased by her parents, Henry and Matilda (Tilla) Mark of Trinidad and Tobago, husband Kenneth and daughter Jeannine of Winnipeg.
She leaves behind children, Wendy Haasbeek, Zane Amundson (Dale) and Dennis Webster; grandchildren, Geoffrey Moffett (Krista), Salimah Moffett (Yasin), Darryl Moffet (Jazel), Taze Haasbeek and Bryce Webster; great grandchildren, Cole, Trini, Aiden, Hamid, Mardyiah, Abdullah, Tasnim, Claudia, Haven, Emery and Samira; sisters, Yolande, Myrna, Rosemarie, Valerie and brother Hannibal and their families; sister-in-law Trudy and her family; family members and good friends in Canada, Trinidad and Tobago, the US and England.
Mons was an EKG technologist for most of her career. She enjoyed travelling the world and summers at her cottage on Lake Winnipeg. She was a long standing member of the Winnipeg Steel Orchestra and an avid Blue Jays fan.
Mons' funeral will be held in Winnipeg at 10:30 a.m. on June 6, 2023 at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home & Cemetery, 4000 Portage Ave., Winnipeg, 204-885-9715.
Donations can be made to the Canadian Arthritis Society, Canadian Cancer Society or CNIB.

We are saddened to learn of Monica's passing. She was a dear friend, very kind and thoughtful. We have fond memories of her and Ken. After moving away from Winnipeg, I had a few visits with Monica during my summer trips back to Winnipeg. I am happy I got to do that. Gordon and I send our sincere condolences and deepest sympathy to all the family. We hold you all in your hearts and prayers. My deep condolences to your family. I knew Monica when she first came to Winnipeg. I was 14-15 and Monica was introduced to our family through my Aunt Kay. I was also Jeannine’s Godmother at her christening. Unfortunately, I left WPG after nursing graduation and lost touch.
