Peacefully on September 21, 2022, Jim passed away with his loving wife of 61 years, Kaye, at his side.
He leaves behind his daughter Kim, grandsons, Josh (Elisa) and Ben (Mel), great-grandchildren, Ryan, Alayna and Nicholas; brothers, Wayne (Anne) and Russ (Bev), sister-in-law Belle (Ketch) and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his son Darrell (Donna), mother and father, Ivy and Russ, brother Gerry (Pearl).
Jim (Simba) spent 35 years with the Winnipeg Fire Department and made lifelong friends, especially his buddy Chopper (Jim and Patti Cameron). He was happiest entertaining family and friends in his backyard and spending winters in warm places especially Maui. Jim will be forever loved and missed.
A family celebration has been held.

I worked with Jimmy at Station 13. Nobody, including me, drove that old Mac like he could. Up and down the gears without a sound. He created legendary breakfasts for us and was a good firefighter and a nice guy. My condolences to his family. - Posted by: Scott Miner (Collegue) on: Oct 22, 2022
