LIL (LAVERNE) SICHEWSKI
December 11, 1937 – October 16, 2022

Peacefully, Lil (Laverne) Sichewski, passed away on October 16, 2022, at the Grace General Hospital.
Left to cherish her memories are Mike, her loving husband of 65 years, her daughter, Sandra (Wayne), her son, Spencer (Aileen) and her three grandchildren, Caitlin, Mike, and Amy.
Lil was predeceased by her parents, Frances and Peter, sisters, Jessie and Anne, and her brother, Marvin. She is survived by her sisters, Marion and May and many nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws and friends.
Lil had an unwavering faith in God and is now at peace with the Lord.
Lil was born in the Municipality of Harrison Park, Manitoba on December 11, 1937. She was the second youngest of six children and lived on the family farm until she married the love of her life on June 22, 1957 and moved to Winnipeg to start their own family.
Lil had a profound love for her family, church, friends, cooking, baking and gardening. Her kindness and generosity will be what she is remembered for the most. All her family, friends and neighbours found love, an open door and great food at their home, always.
Lil gave back to the community in her involvement with Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, especially tending to the gardens there for more than 27 years and as a foster parent for more than 25 years, giving many a second home and a chance for a new beginning.
In accordance with her wishes, a private family service will be held in Sandy Lake, Manitoba on Saturday, October 22, 2022.

Don't grieve for me, now I'm free
I'm following the path God laid for me.
My life's been full, I've savored much,
Good friends, good times,
my loved one's touch
Lift up your heart, rejoice with me,
God wanted me now, He set me free.
