LUIS SILVA ALMEIDA
April 26, 1955 – October 19, 2022
Luis Silva Almeida, born on April 26, 1955 to Domingos Almeida and Ilda Silva in Minde, Portugal, passed away on October 19, 2022, at the young age of 67 at Health Sciences Centre.
He leaves behind to mourn his loving memory his daughter Melissa Almeida, his ex-wife Maria Natercia Almeida, his stepsons, John and Marcio DaSilva and their mother Mize DaSilva; as well as many cousins, nieces, nephews and many, many friends. He touched so many lives. He was the only surviving child of three.
Dad, I take comfort in the fact that you have reunited with your father, brother and sister. I hope you are up heaven playing the game of your life. R.I.P. my soccer star.
A private ceremony will be held to honour his life. Please be respectful of his and his families wishes.

For the 38 years that I have know Luis, he has consistently been polite, pleasant, warm and genuine! A true prince of a man! I remember his unique, calm style on the football pitch and his deadly accurate free kicks....but more importantly I remember Luis's good nature, playfulness and his hospitality. He was a fabulous lunch companion and conversationalist. He always had a funny story or joke to share...... :) You will be missed Luis......
