ROBERT GEORGE (BOB) HOLMES
July 16, 1942 - October 12, 2022
Bob Holmes, aged 80 years, passed away peacefully on October 12, 2022, at Riverview Health Centre with family at his side.
Born and raised in North Bay, ON, Bob was a long time employee of Nortel and travelled the world with them. He moved to Winnipeg with his family in 1975.
Bob was predeceased by his parents George and Oneida Holmes, wife Denise (nee Robinson), brother Glen, and sister-in-law Rosa (David) Holmes. He is remembered by his daughter Robyn (Fraser) Gordon, grandchildren Sara and Evan Gordon, brothers Gary (Colleen) and David, nieces, nephews and extended family.
Thanks to the palliative care team who were involved in his care the last several weeks.
At Bob's request, no formal funeral is planned. He has been cremated, and interment will take place in North Bay at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, Bob requested donations to the Winnipeg Humane Society.
