(nee ROCAN)

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Yvette Marie Anna Lemire, our beloved mother, grandmother, great- grandmother, sister and aunt. Yvette passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family, on Sunday, October 23, 2022, at the age of 88.
She will be lovingly remembered by her children: Suzanne, Paul (Lynn), Michelle (Trevor), Doris, Marc (Lindsay), and Nicole (Donny); 10 grandchildren: Shawn, Stephanie, Michael, Christopher, Kevin, Danielle, Nicholas, Camille, Seve, Tayler and two great-grandchildren: Cameron and Julianna; her sister Jeannine and many nieces and nephews.
Yvette was predeceased by her loving husband Roger Jules Lemire, her daughter Marie, her parents, Joseph and Marguriete Rocan, brothers, Lucien Rocan, Leon Rocan, Luc Rocan, and her sister Berthe Klammer.
Yvette was born in La Broquerie, Manitoba in 1933. Yvette married Roger, the love of her life, on May 18, 1957. They settled in Winnipeg where they raised their family. Mom was devoted to her family and friends in her East Kildonan neighbourhood for 26 years before they moved back to St. Vital. Mom's infectious smile and kind words touched everyone she encountered. She was a woman of incredible strength and determination. What Mom loved most was when we all came home with the grandkids, and we were all gathered around the dining room table.
Even through her battle with Alzheimer's and dementia for the last 10 plus years, she never permanently forgot her family. She had fleeting moments, but a gesture, a tone or a loving embrace helped her remember you.
In life, we loved you dearly, in death we love you still. In our hearts you hold a special place, no one else will ever fill. You will always be in our hearts.
Please join us in a Celebration of Life for Yvette Lemire on Saturday, October 29, 2022 at 9:00 a.m. at Glen Lawn Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Manitoba.
