Jay and I met before he went to Dubai. I went to visit him the 1st winter he was so excited to show me all the cool places. A trip I will never forget. We stayed in touch regularly in the 15 yrs since meeting. He lived life to the absolute fullest. He loved telling me of his worldly adventures. Especially of the international foods. He was also quite the cook. My life is missing something since his passing. To his family I can’t imagine the pain you are feeling. Jay loved his family dearly. Hope you are happy “flyboy” till we meet again. Love Kimberly “road girl” (close friend) - Posted by: Kimberly K (close friend ) on: Aug 06, 2023

Jay was a good friend of mine, if I ever wanted for conversation he could talk up a storm. We stayed in touch long after I helped him find his condo. We had made plans to meet the day after his tragic passing. I was always concerned about his well being, during Covid. If anyone knows Jay they know how much he loved to talk, he could talk the legs off a chair. The months of covid robbed him the pleasure of talking about his daughters and how he longed to spend time with them. Miss our in-depth conversations and going out for lunch with you. Jay, the most fun to be with person. My first time meeting with Jay was not in a plane nor in emirates flight school. It was at the traffic light right in front of the Burj Al Arab hotel when I came to a stop. He was on his harley, we complimented each other’s bikes. and after that moment he became my brother, friend, mentor, karaoke buddy (he was indeed was a good singer ). We had so many chicken wings bbq (he was the best chicken wings chef ) nights with him. he loved talking about his daughters, his job and experiences. So many jokes, laughs, conversations.. unforgettable memories..He is the kindest, most down to earth soul. I am saying "is" because he is still existing..just in another place. Until I see you again, my dear friend Jay. Take care of yourself ❤️wherever you are. - Posted by: Kamil Minareci (Chicken wings bbq, Harley ride and Karaoke buddy) on: Nov 05, 2022

Whenever my dad would come to visit me and my sister he always wanted us to have learned about other countries he had visited. He always brought us to Baraka pita, and shared zatar. He wanted us to have other worldly tastes, and experience things that we wouldn't have otherwise. He always brought us treasures from his trips, usually candy that had some kind of challenge to eating it, like whistling with powdery cookies, or eating really spicy gummy worms. I miss his warm hugs, his silly impressions, laughing with him, and just being around him. - Posted by: Sarah Morlock (His daughter) on: Nov 03, 2022

Sincere condolences on the sudden loss of your son Jay. Something so unexpected and heartbreaking, I am thinking of you and sending prayers your way. My first memory of Jay was of him arriving at our home in Valley Gardens on his motorcycle. He was there to either pick up or drop off our daughter Jennifer. More recently we became friends on fb when he returned to Winnipeg and had an interest in reconnecting with Winnipeg folks. One of his favourite sites was 'If you grew up in Winnipeg Manitoba You Remember' where many old time memories were shared. - Posted by: Louise Graham (friend) on: Nov 03, 2022

Dear Gail and Jerry, I was so shocked and sorry to hear about Jay's passing, that I still cannot believe the enormity of it all. I am so very sad, and I cannot imagine what you are both going through, my sincere and heartfelt condolences to you both. Jay was a fantastic guy, always generous with his friendship and hospitality (his parties were so much fun!) a true friend. We met in Dubai as fellow pilots and shared the same building and, subsequently, many of the same friendships. On occasions, we shared afternoons out driving in the desert or on the local go-kart track indulging in one of his many passions. I miss you buddy, God speed. Gail and Jerry you are in my thoughts at this difficult time. Jono x - Posted by: Jono Williams (Friend) on: Nov 02, 2022

Gail and Jerry, For some reason my first post did not post. So I will repost. It is with a sad heart that I must offer you my heart felt condolences over your loss of your beloved son Jay and my best Dubai friend. Jay and I met in Dubai working for Emirates Airlines and immediately became best friends of Manazel Al Barsha and the 3rd floor. We remained best friends even after both of our departures from Emirates Airlines in September 2020. Know this about your son, he was a true quality person full of life, happiness, fortitude, argrumentives, love, and affection. Jay, May you RIP and have fair winds upon your wings. I’ll take you as a wingman any time Bubba. God Bless - Posted by: Doc Garrett (Wing Man in Dubai and Best Friend ) on: Nov 02, 2022
