Aunty Margret was the most kind, loving and selfless human being I met. She did so much for everyone whether she knew them or not without ever asking for anything in return. She loved her family and she loved her kids. - Posted by: Amer Iqbal (Family) on: Nov 02, 2022

We met Durrani’s thorough our children Summer camp. She was the most loving mother and a wonderful member of our community. We will miss her. Every year she invited us for a most wonderful thanksgiving dinner at her home. You will be missed Sr. Margaret. - Posted by: Khalid Iqbal (Family friend ) on: Nov 01, 2022

I first met Margaret at the Winnipeg citadel (Salvation Army Church). She did a lot of work for the missionary group at our church. On Canada Day, Margaret, Sharon & I would go down to the Forks together and spend the day there, we had a wonderful time. - Posted by: Elaine Browning (Friend) on: Oct 31, 2022

I had the pleasure of working with Marg for years at CRA. I have never met a more giving thoughtful person who devoted a lot of her time to charity and completing Tax returns for shut in seniors!!! RIP Marg! - Posted by: Susan Lillie (Friend ) on: Oct 30, 2022

Margaret's brother Albert (Abe) and I have been good friends for over 75 years. I spent a lot of years growing up at the Bakers' home on Brandon Avenue. They were a warm and friendly family and their mother was like a mother to me and other kids in the neighborhood. Margaret was always good natured and intelligent, a lot like her mom. Margaret, her sister and brothers attended Riverview School as I did, and as the years went by Margaret was a University of Manitoba student and I was a rookie Fort Garry Policeman. As I would be directing traffic to the university, I would often see Margaret smiling and waving to me from the window of a transit bus as she was en route to university. The sight of her was even warming to the soul on the coldest of Winnipeg mornings. During a Christmas season many years ago, Margaret called and asked if I would be the Santa at the local Salvation Army premises. As I was on duty that day, my father (a Magistrate in the Family and Juvenile Court) offered to take on the 'gig' and did so for several years afterward. Both Margaret and my dad cared about the future of children and prayed that they would have a blessed future. Margaret was the beloved sister I never had. - Posted by: Richard Hickling (family friend) on: Oct 30, 2022

I have many fond memories of your mother both as a mother and a volunteer at school. Some go way back to when she worked in her dads bakery with my sister. Margaret was a force to be reckoned with and had a heart of gold. Hold on to all the good memories and she will be in your hearts forever. - Posted by: Ruby Zacharias (Old fruend) on: Oct 29, 2022

I had the pleasure to work with Marg at CRA. She was one of the most caring individuals that I have ever known, always helping others. The world was a better place because of Marg. - Posted by: Tim Demetrioff (Co-worker) on: Oct 29, 2022
