JANICE LOUISE BURDON
On October 22, 2022, the curtain lowered on our dear sister's life.
June 5, 1948, the writer created a part for Janice Louise Burdon, the first child of Muriel and Harry Burdon. Starting as a happy little girl, she was a joy to her parents. As siblings were added, she took on a roll as a quasimother/sister enjoying helping where needed.
The depth of her character grew with interactions through her music, faith, friends and jobs.
Her jobs were various. Taxi Driver, cook, personal assistant to a mogul, den mother, secretary, stage manager (she liked to direct people).
In her latter stages of life, she was turning to doing charity work.
Her astute observation skills (we will call it critiquing), guided her in her judgments to seeking solutions for the betterment of friend's family and community.
Her parents would be proud of her, as her siblings are. She turned out OK.
As the curtain drops and Jan takes her bow, I am sure that she'd be grateful to you all for including her in your lives and she would say, thank you.
She will be lovingly remembered by her family, Joan and Larry Spate and family, Pat and Mark Meulman and family, Doug Burdon (Cathy) and family and Fred and Meghan Burdon and family and John Erskine.
Jan will be missed by her close and intimate friends, Scott MacAuley, Harvey Sumka, Judy McKelvey, Laurie Beachell, Alexis Anderson and Jane and Allan Burpee, Susie, Gerard, Alice and Annie.
In lieu of flowers, donations to Keewatin Inkster Neighbourhood Resource Council, One Just City, or a charity of your choice.
