MAUREEN WIEBE
(nee OLCEN)

October 21, 1959 – October 24, 2022

It is with overwhelming sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mom, daughter, sister, and friend, Maureen (Mo) Wiebe, who was taken from us way too soon after losing the battle with a brief but unyielding illness.
She was predeceased by her father James Olcen and is survived by her sons, Philip Olcen (Caleb), Nicholas Wiebe (Sarah), and her youngest son, Trevor Wiebe. She is also survived by her mother Leonie Olcen, brother Glenn (Mel) and sisters, Joan (Dan), Val (Wes), Joyce (Kevin), Sheila (Keith), many loved nieces and nephews and her Mom's Pantry family that were all very special to her.
Maureen worked hard and played hard. If she wasn't working at "The Pantry," she loved being at the lake either fishing or playing in the water for hours. She was the first one in and the last one out. Maureen was a loyal Bomber fan and went to as many games as possible. She loved Skinners and fishing at Lockport, but road trips on her Harley with friends and her son Trevor was the best for her. Actually, she loved any excuse to be on her Harley (which she hid from her mom for about the first year that she had it).
We would like to thank the ICU staff at St. Boniface Hospital for their compassion and expertise. We are truly grateful.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Harvest Manitoba.

"Though we need to weep your loss,
you dwell in that safe place in our hearts,
where no storm or night or pain can
reach you."

Mom's presence will be dearly missed, and she will be forever in our hearts.
A Celebration of Life will take place Saturday, November 19 at 1:00 p.m. at Stone Angel Brewing, 1875 Pembina Highway.

  • Condolences to the family. Mo was one of the nicest people I have ever met. She didn’t just welcome me into her life once, but twice. (My high school years and after a brief hiatus, again, when I was out riding my motorcycle). I love how she always had a smile on her face, and was willing to sit and chat, no matter how busy she was. I Will miss you and your stories “Ma”! Keep watch while we ride. - Posted by: Laura (Friend) on: Nov 08, 2022

  • Our sincere condolences to all of Maureen's family. Such a shock to have left us all without knowing 💔. If only we had one more day to say our last goodbyes. SHOW THAT LOVE every day to all whose precious lives you touch. Maureen was an adventurous person living life to the fullest. She had 3 beautiful sons whose lessons in life taught by her will always be a cherished memory. Praying for your peace and comfort as the Lord knows what you are going through. We don't have all the answers as to why but rest assured Jesus does. Leone, Glenn & sisters I can only say the same thing. Loved MO 's beautiful smile also. She came to our house for Glenn and Mel's wedding in April. Last time we saw her. Til we meet again in Heaven MO .RIP. - Posted by: BEVERLEY and Roland (From friends of the family. ) on: Nov 03, 2022
