Edmund (Eddy) passed away the morning of October 22, 2022.
He will be sadly missed by his wife of 32 years, Winnifred (née Strong); his daughters, Anita Drabyk, Susan (Bruce) Patterson, Barb (Craig) Darroch and son Andrew (Cathy); Winnifred's children, Joanne (Wayne) Sieg and Grant (Cheryl) Kukurudz and 11 grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother Norman (Lorraine) and sister Esther (Bill) and many nieces and nephews.
Eddy was predeceased by his first wife Mary (née Ulman); his son-in-law Ron Drabyk; Winnifred's grandchild Bronson Sieg; his parents, Gustav and Justina (nee Rattai); brothers, (Rudolph, Adolph, Herman and Arnold); sisters, (Olga, Elsie, Sophie and Velma).
Eddy was a farmer for most of his life and he enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, hunting, gardening, singing, feeding birds, and, most importantly, being a part of his church community.
Memorial donations may be made to Zion Lutheran Church, Beausejour or to Parkinson Canada.
A celebration of Eddy's life will be held October 31, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at Sobering Funeral Chapel, 1035 Park Avenue East, Beausejour, followed by internment at the Zion Lutheran Cemetery in Beausejour. Reception to follow at the Beausejour Room of the Brokenhead River Community Hall.
