I was saddened to hear of Jarl's passing. I first met Jarl through my late husband Wilf Taillieu when they along with others spearheaded the formation of a new municipality- Headingley. Jarl was a tireless supporter of the community. He will be missed- and will be remembered for his contributions. I can’t help but think he and Wilf are reminiscing together right now! My condolences to Jarl's family. He will be remembered for his many years of dedication to his community. Mavis Taillieu - Posted by: Mavis Taillieu (Friend ) on: Nov 01, 2022
My condolences to the Johner family. I met Jarl in TX. He always participated in functions at the hall. He will be missed. - Posted by: Terry Egan (Friend) on: Nov 01, 2022
WOW What guy. He was Winnipeg's Bob Vila but back in 1963 when Jarl started, produced and directed his own TV show "Rec rooms by Jarl Johner". Jarl started his Windsor Plywood franchise in 1969 and lately opened a second location. When I asked him how he would survive the "Big three" when they moved into Winnipeg he said "Easy...Bring em' on, I have the knowledgeable people" His talent as a craftsman really showed in his summer home on Castle Rock Island in beautiful Lake on the Woods. Condolences to the family, I'm truly proud to have known him. Hartley and Eva Dueck - Posted by: Hartley Dueck (Friend) on: Nov 01, 2022
Charlene, thinking of you and all the strength you have needed over the past couple of years. Big hugs. Jarl was a dynamic man who we felt honoured to call a friend. May he Rest In Paradise. - Posted by: Dennis and Judy Pearce (Winter Texan friend ) on: Oct 31, 2022
Sending so much love to the Johner family as they mourn their Patriarch. He was such a kind, outgoing man who enjoyed many laughs with my Dad and our family on Lake of the Woods. I’m certain the two of them reunited along with Shirley for some heavenly fun. Rest In Peace Jarl! ❤️❤️❤️ Rae Anne Skillen - Posted by: Rae Anne Skillen (Friend) on: Oct 31, 2022

Dennis Crowe and I (Lorelei Scott) purchased Jarl’s Honda Trike and trailer in January 2022. We really enjoyed spending time with Jarl as he proudly showed us his trike. He was a very interesting man with lots of knowledge to share. We were saddened to hear of his passing. We hope to enjoy the trike for years to come as he did. Condolences to his family and friends. He was a true gem. - Posted by: Lorelei and Dennis (Friend ) on: Oct 31, 2022

Our sincere confidences to Ed & Jeff and their families. Your dad was a great guy. He is now with Shirley whom I know he missed so much.
