Born to Severn and Maggie Rasmussen in Dakotah, Manitoba, Geordie was one of thirteen children.
She will be greatly missed by her surviving sister Laurine Ammeter (Starbuck) and many nieces and nephews too numerous to list.
She was predeceased by her parents, her siblings, Myrtle, Harold, Vivian, Ernest, Baby Laurence, Sydney, Clayton, Doris, Judith, Effie and Gordon, as well as her husband Don.
Our Auntie G was a spicy lady and was a favorite with her nieces and nephews. Whether it was terrorizing her passengers in her beloved red VW Beetle or going to bingo, meat draws at the Legion or recreational shopping, time spent with Auntie G was never dull. She was known for her wit, her impish tricks and her sharp remarks which could sometimes make you blush. She loved to play games and would play with anyone from 5 to 85. Everyone was always welcome at her home on Ferry Road, which she was very proud of, and you never ever went away hungry.
The later years of her life brought various health issues and life became more challenging for Auntie G. She passed away quietly on a warm fall day, leaving us with many memories that we will always cherish.
Our heartfelt thanks to Doctor Kotecha and the staff at Oakview Place for their kindness and care.
Cremation has taken place and, at Geordie's request, no funeral service will be held. Please take time to honor her memory in your own way: share a story, have a laugh, shed a tear or two. That's what she would want.

"See you in the funny papers Auntie G!"
