MARGARET FAST

With profound sadness and gratitude, we announce the death of our mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother Margaret (Greta) Fast, on November 1, 2022, at 11:45 pm. She died peacefully, surrounded by her children. Our mom was a strong, loving woman to the end. She had suffered from physical limitations but was clear and bright almost to the last.
She leaves behind her children Hilde and Henry Neustaedter, Lorie Bergen, son-in-law Otto Klassen, Karl and Janet Fast, and Agnes Mauer and Gunness Seebalack. She leaves sixteen grandchildren and forty-three great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren behind. She was predeceased by her husband, Karl Fast, her daughter Marlies Klassen, her grandchild Stephanie Mauer, and her son-in-law Arthur Bergen.
Funeral Service will be held Monday, November 7, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at Douglas Mennonite Church, 1517 Rothesay Street, with viewing prior to the service. Interment in Sage Creek Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Karl and Margaret Fast Scholarship fund at Westgate Mennonite Collegiate.
