(nee HOGAN)

Mom passed away peacefully on November 3, 2022 at the St. Boniface Hospital at the age of 84 years.
She was predeceased by her husband Don, her sister Elizabeth, her mother Connie Hogan. Deanna is survived by her bother Bob Hogan (Eileen), sister Jean Hogan (Gerard); son Rob (Marieange), daughter Heather (Dave); sons, Todd (Monique) and Rodney (Gisele); grandchildren, Nicholas (Nicole), Collin (Nikki), Nathalie (Ryan), Cory (Julie), Shawn (Christie), Adam, Chantal, Lianne (Greg), Mireille (Barry), Brianne (Taylor), Caleb, Beau and Chris (Katie); great-grandchildren, Robert, Madison, Logan, Cohen, Layla, Brooke, Codder, Presley, Kobe, Asira, Ansel, Aulia, Adaline and Eva.
Mom loved all aspects of nature and outdoors including camping and being at the lake. There were many family vacations. St. Vital Park was her favorite place where she had a special bench that she loved to sit at and enjoy the river. It was a calming effect for her. Mom loved sitting outside at her condo watching people go by. This last year was hard for mom but moving into Residence Despins was a godsend. She loved the staff, the food and of course the puzzle room. Mom worked at St. Amant for many years. She truly enjoyed her job as a health care aide.
The family would like to thank the staff who cared for our mom at Residence Despins and St. Boniface Hospital, and to Drs. Muns and Ducharme.
Cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life will happen in the future.

Condolences & Memories (2 entries)

  • I only knew your mom a few short weeks, but you could tell she was a kind soul. I heard family stories, chuckles, and love in the words. She was quite sure of herself and knew what she wanted. She was open to talk and share about her family with me while she could. I am blessed for meeting her and some of her family. I hope your memories will keep you smiling for many years to come. - Posted by: Kelly Livingstone (friend) on: Nov 12, 2022

  • Condolences to the family. I had the pleasure of working with Deanna at St Amant. She was the most kind-hearted person I have ever met. She truly loved the residents and her job. She was the best. I had the pleasure of meeting her a couple of times at Residence Despins in the last few months. She always had a beautiful smile. She will be missed. Rest in Peace my friend. - Posted by: Lucie GrĂ©goire-Chartier (Former co-worker) on: Nov 05, 2022
