Elsie started working at the young age of 18 at Pineridge Golf Course. She loved decorating cakes and worked for many years at the Dominion Bakery. People would sit outside the window watching and admiring her as she decorated cakes. She retired as a cake decorator after working at the Donut House. Elsie had a great love for travelling and and she was always dressed in the finest. She loved spending time with her family, especially those 20 grand and great-grandchildren.

Condolences & Memories (3 entries)

  • We are so saddened to hear of Elsie’s passing a few months ago. Up until the end of 2021, we lived a few doors down from her. Our family always enjoyed our quick chats in the hallway. She was witty, strong, kind and always so patient with my rambunctious kids. I could tell she loved her family immensely and lived a wonderful life. Condolences to the family. She will be missed. - Posted by: Acosta family (Former neighbours) on: Mar 16, 2023

  • Grandma I will love you forever, and I will never stop missing you. I’m going to miss your silly smarty pant comments. Your contagious smile, and laughter (you loved a good laugh). We have so many memories together. When I was little we would have sleepovers, lunches at the Windmill, shopping at the stores down Selkirk, and you would always bring me eclairs from the donut house. I’ll miss our visits at your place and your little kiss & hugs as I would leave to go home. I’ll miss the smell of you as I kissed your little cheeks. But most of all I’ll miss YOU. You will alway be my Grandma. ❤️Love krys - Posted by: Krystal kidd phillips (Grand daughter ) on: Nov 08, 2022
