ANETA JOAN DYCK
1935-2022
On July 18, 1935, Aneta Dyck was born to parents Jacob and Lena Dyck In Vanguard, Saskatchewan and grew up on a farm at Pambrun, Saskatchewan. Aneta received her education in Pambrun and Swift Current, SK. After finishing high school, she went to Business College in Saskatoon which was followed by two years at Briercrest Bible College. Afterwards she worked for a while in different offices in Saskatoon, Calgary, Vancouver and Regina.
In 1964 Aneta moved to Winnipeg and began her 25 years of employment at Ford Motor Company. This was followed by eight years working as a bookkeeper for the Manitoba M.B. Conference in Winnipeg. Aneta retired from official employment in 1997 but remained active in her community and church and enjoyed some international travel.
Aneta was a good friend to many, a long-time member of the Portage Avenue Church and kept in touch by phone with many of her out-of-province relatives.
In the last year Aneta faced numerous health challenges and she died peacefully on November 5, 2022, in hospital in Winnipeg. She leaves behind numerous cousins and friends in Manitoba and beyond.
A memorial service will be held at Friends Funeral Service in Winnipeg on November 14, 2022, at 11:00 a.m.
