MARGUERITE MARIE JEANNE
LAMBERT
(nee LAFOND)
It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of our mother, Marguerite Marie Jeanne Lambert (nee Lafond ) aged 92, on November 8, 2022 at Tuxedo Villa Extendicare, with family by her side.
She was predeceased by her husband of 70 years, Armand Lambert, who passed away earlier this year and our brothers, Denis and Ronald. Also predeceased by her parents, Server (Sam) Lafond and Annie (nee Bircham) and brothers, Raymond and Edward.
She will lovingly be remembered by her children, Rick (Debbie), Yvette, Eugene (Marguerite); 9 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren; her brother Hank and many nieces and nephews.
Marguerite was born in Winnipeg, MB on December 19, 1929. She grew up in St. Boniface, where she met Armand; they married in 1951. Mom took pride in keeping the family well fed and clean. Holidays were celebrated with her signature dishes we all could not wait to eat. Mom and Dad enjoyed countless Sunday dinners and numerous family milestone celebrations. Some will fondly remember the sleepovers at Granny and Grampa's with great love. Every summer they went camping and fishing; travelling in their truck and camper across Canada, through Alaska, Mexico and much of the States. They enjoyed visiting with family in Halifax, Vancouver, Blaine, WA and Palm Springs.
Marguerite spent her work life at Phil-Mar Trade Bindery and retired at the age of 60.
With Dad and friends, mom enjoyed skating, golfing, cycling, cross country skiing, badminton and cards.
The family would like to thank the staff at Tuxedo Villa Extendicare for helping our mother be comfortable in her last weeks and days.
Mom has been cremated and will be buried with her family at the Saint-Boniface cemetery. It was her request that no service be held.

If you toot your little whistle at 10am Wednesday mornings, maybe you could round up some of the old cycling crew and go for a ride. There's as many on your side of the fence now as there is on mine. I'm glad to have met you. Rest in peace, Your friend, Norman - Posted by: Norman (Friend) on: Nov 13, 2022
