BRENT DAVID ANTHONY DESJARDINS
August 18, 1962 - October 5, 2022
It is with broken hearts that we announce the sudden and untimely passing of Brent David Anthony Desjardins on October 5, 2022, aged 60.
Brent will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by his son and best friend, Remy (Alex).
Brent is also survived by his mother Jean; siblings, Jim (Shirley, Chris, Ashley); Michele Grant (Thomas, Cole, Taryn); Keith (John); half-siblings, Karen Lawford; James (Emma, Mila, Eva) and Mark; Kathleen (nee Briscoe); Aunt Marlene Neimi and numerous cousins. He is predeceased by his father Francois (James) Desjardins and his beloved grandfather Adolf Klinck.
Brent grew up in Fort Rouge and attended LaVerendrye, Earl Grey and Kelvin High School where he excelled in sports, particularly as a soccer goalkeeper. Brent enjoyed spending time at the family cabin at Betula Lake and loved waterskiing, fishing, hunting and hiking in the Whiteshell.
Brent started his career in the printing industry as a Pressman with Henderson Directories/R. L. Polk for five years then as Pressroom Supervisor with Naylor Communications for 27 years. Brent had been employed as Production Supervisor at the Freshwater Fish Marketing Corporation for six years at the time of his passing and will be missed dearly by his colleagues and friends. Brent excelled in his supervisory roles and took great pride in his work.
Brent especially enjoyed spending time with Remy; travelling, fishing, biking and on walks with pup Winston. Remy was Brent's pride and joy.
A celebration of Brent's life will be held on Sunday, November 27, 2022 at the Norwood Hotel, 112 Marion Street, Winnipeg (1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.).

I Fall Asleep
By Samuel Butler
I fall asleep in the full and certain hope
That my slumber shall not be broken;
And that though I be all-forgetting,
Yet shall I not be forgotten,
But continue that life in the thoughts
and deeds of those I loved.

Remy, we’re so sorry for your loss. Your dad was such a kind sole. He always offered guidance to us just like a father would! He’s the reason we bought our first pop up camper! He would always offer help with our house projects, or at least advice to make the project easier! We will miss seeing that big smile of his next door. - Posted by: The Mitchell’s (Neighbor) on: Dec 28, 2022
