She will be dearly missed by her sister Rita (Robert) Matheson of Calgary, Alberta and by nieces Laurie (Albert) Bedard and daughter Ravyn of Fort Frances, Ontario, Janine (Marc) Stallings of California and other nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband of 56 years Henry Gosselin, daughter Cheryl Lynn, parents Nicholas and Jennie Boresiuk and brother Walter Boresiuk. Verona grew up in Fort Frances and attended Fort Frances High School where she met her best friend, Henry. They married in August 1957.
Verona was a fulltime homemaker but did various part-time jobs once her kids were older. Verona was a great listener and confidant, always there when you needed someone. Verona was a kind, good-hearted person and will be greatly missed.
Verona was an avid baker and cook, she loved to make homemade pickles, her canned pickled beet recipe will never be forgotten as well as her chocolate cake recipe which is and always will be one of the family favorites. Verona loved doing crafts, she was extremely gifted at ceramics, knitting and crocheting and all her grandchildren and great-grandchildren are blessed to have beautiful afghans to remember her by.
