Condolences & Memories (3 entries)

  • Fred (Freddie as I knew him), was my first childhood friend and next door neighbour. Freddie was my playmate. We played cowboys, war/spies, hide and seek and tag-your it. He ran like the wind! Brother Billy was included in our daily games; we had so much fun! When I was sick with childhood illnesses, Freddie came over to my house to keep me company. I remember that he swore to me that Bill's pet crow would be able to talk after the crow's tongue was split. Freddie told me that Billy would do that operation very carefully, and no pain would come to the crow. I'm not sure what happened to the crow, but I can assure you that its tongue was never split and it never talked! Freddie was my best little pal! I remember the day, Chubby, their loyal pet dog died. All of us shared tears. So many childhood memories with Freddie flooding back to me now. Alas, we grew up, but I never forgot Freddie. I'm sorry that you've left your family and friends. May we all be thankful for the many fond memories and the love that you shared. Thank you Freddie for your friendship. Deepest sympathy to your family, Sincerely, Jo-Anne Barnes, now living in Kingston, Ontario - Posted by: Jo-Anne Marshall (nee Barnes) (Next door neighbour and childhood friend on Regent Avenue) on: Dec 03, 2022
