HERBERT (HERB) AMEY
1930 - 2022
Herb passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 10, 2022 at the age of 91 at Betel Home in Gimli.
He will be lovingly remembered and missed by his wife Joyce of 66 years, son David (Diana), son Todd, granddaughter Kate (Jean), grandson Daniel (Justine), and great-granddaughters, Charlotte and Rosalie.
Herb was born to Herbert and Teresa Amey and raised in Winnipeg. His working years were spent with the CNR, Hudson Bay House, Charter House Hotel and Eaton's both Downtown and St. Vital Center. Herb was kind, honest and very patient.
When Herb and Joyce both retired they moved to Silver Harbour and enjoyed many years of country life. They became members of the New Horizon's 55+ Centre and made many new friends and enjoyed the club activities. Herb loved the outdoors and took up golf and lawn bowling. They also loved to travel and spent winter months in Yuma, Arizona.
The family would like to express our gratitude to the nurses and staff of Betel Home in Gimli for their kindness and compassionate care of Herb.
In accordance with Herb's wishes, cremation has taken place. No funeral will be held. A private family gathering will take place at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made to Betel Home Foundation (Gimli).

It is with great memories that we remember Herb, the card games at the cottage, the happy hours together and the visits. Herb was such a kind person and we were privileged to be part of his life.
