Peacefully, with family by her side, Bev went to her eternal home.
She was predeceased by her loving husband Lloyd, to whom she was married for 62 years.
She will be dearly missed by her sons Rod and Jim (Deborah-Lyn), and daughters, Sheri Scott (Jerry), Tracy Parker and Lisa Yagi (Bryan), cherished grandchildren, great-grandchildren and many dear friends. She was predeceased by her brothers Roger, Ron and George, sisters Lorraine and Judy, and great-grandson Nicolas.
Bev grew up in the North End and resided in Charleswood for much of her married life. She was a devoted wife and mother who was known for her caring and loving nature. She lived and shared her faith, which gave her great strength, purpose and joy throughout her life.
A service to celebrate Bev's life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 26 at Trinity Baptist Church, 549 Gertrude Ave. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of your choice.

Condolences & Memories (5 entries)

  • I can't talk about Bev without mentioning Lloyd who were a match made in heaven. My friend Susan and I were with them and asked where we went to church as they were searching for a place so we invited them to come to WECC and they were a great fit there. They loved the young people and they loved them. They were a good support to the young pastors as we were the oldest in the church and most were under 40. Bev and Lloyd had such child like faith that I so admired and were very young at heart. I have to share one evening we had a fun night. The little ones were supposed to ride a tricycle to see who would win, but guess who got on the tricycle peddled around the track while the rest of us howled with laughter - none other than Bev. My mom and I met them at Walmart and I introduced them to each other. We finished talking, Bev and Lloyd walked away and then Lloyd came back and said to my mom who was a perfect stranger 5 minutes earlier, when you die will your elevator go up or down. My mom and I stood God smacked and then laughed so hard. I have used that line many times and the best witnessing tool ever. Hugs and love to all the family and all who grieve Bev's passing. - Posted by: Marilyn Burdiak (friend from WECC) on: Nov 27, 2022
