HELEN LINDGREN
April 29, 1929 - November 10, 2022
Helen Lindgren was born in Rouyn, Quebec.
After retiring from a career in nursing she and her husband Stewart spent time either in their home in Abottsford, BC or cruising off the coast of Florida in their sailboat Misty Lady.
Following a trip to visit the art galleries in Europe, Helen was inspired by artists such as Renoir, Monet, Van Gogh and Cézanne. It was after that when Helen began to dedicate herself to her art. She is basically self taught, specializing in painting with acrylics, pastels and watercolors.

Helen was our next door neighbour for many years in Abbotsford. She was lovely. She taught my son to paint. She painted and framed a bunny for my baby’s bedroom. We had many talks over the fence between our yards. We surrounded her with love when Stewart passed away. What lovely memories I have of Helen.
